Ponto Beachfront is comprised of 11 acres of vacant coastal land and was identified for visionary development since the early 1990’s. Our plans were crafted to fulfill the city’s vision, and to become an iconic way station for the California Coastal Trail Connection. It’s layout & design respects and celebrates Carlsbad’s coastal lifestyle, culture, agrarian history, and local context. Ponto Beachfront will serve as the heart of Ponto Village.

Overall, Ponto Beachfront will stay committed to keeping environmental sustainability a priority.

Economic Growth

Ponto Beachfront will create 100+ jobs, resulting in earnings that surpass over $4 million per year. A steady tax and revenue stream will benefit the City of Carlsbad and Carlsbad Unified School District in the net amount of $225,800 per year. The development, housing, water, and planning fees totaling more than $6.7 million will also be paid by Ponto Beachfront.
